About the Philosophy
Our mission is to grow together through judo and to extend the spirit of harmony into society.
ID Judo aims to create a form of judo in which everyone can learn and grow with dignity, confidence, and a sense of security.
At its foundation are Shizentai (natural posture), the Principle of Ju, and Kuzushi (breaking balance).
We learn to maintain our own balance, respond to the movement and force of our partner, and apply techniques through kuzushi. At the same time, we respect our partner and place great importance on throwing safely and receiving techniques safely.
We carefully practice the fundamentals of judo, including posture, movement, body control, ukemi, and kuzushi. We believe that these fundamentals are not merely preparation for more advanced techniques; practicing the fundamentals is itself a form of training and personal development.
Through judo, we develop ourselves, learn together with others, and bring what we have learned into society.
Through judo, we nurture people, foster harmony, and contribute to an inclusive society.
What we hope to leave for the future is not simply the name of our organization or a record of our achievements, but the spirit of judo that respects others and creates harmony.
One hundred years from now, we hope that somewhere, quietly, the spirit of judo that values harmony will still live on.
That is our hope.
